CSY 44.

Just to fill you in, Mark used to do deliveries for CSY and has delivered over 50 of these boats including three CSY 44 center cockpits out to Tonga. (Little wonder he sways when he walks.)

Well, roomy and strong, might be a better way to describe these boats. In fact, they must be among the strongest boats on the market! We've even heard people refer to them as "indestructible"

I have heard Mark happily reminisce (he's going gray now) about balmy tropical breezes, the smell of vanilla and frangipani, and scantily clad natives. ( I think he exaggerates about the balmy breezes).

You can see the glint in his eyes when he talks about watching whales play around the boats while crossing the Pacific, and you can hear his voice get serious as he talks about how that tough boat saved their butts in that hurricane off of Tonga.

THINGS WE LIKE ABOUT THE CSY 44:

• Easy boat to sail, sensible rig with roller furler on jibtop, and boomed staysail. (You could lead all halyards to cockpit if you wanted to.)

• Speaking of cockpit: Lots of room to party with 8 if you want. Nice high coamings for shelter and to keep you inside. (I have been knocked down twice in these boats, once in a hurricane, and I never fell out! And the best dodger I have seen on any boat. I have even seen someone make a solid dodger with solar panels on the roof. (GREAT IDEA)

• Nice roomy and simple interior. The boats were built for the charter trade and laid out so you could clean the interior with a fire hose.
